
Brian Burkhart serves as Vice President of Civil Engineering, applying his extensive background in site development to lead projects from early planning and zoning through final engineering design.
With more than 20 years of experience across the State of Ohio, Brian has directed a wide range of single-family, multi-family, commercial, and industrial developments. He is recognized for his technical depth, strategic approach, and dedication to client service. Brian consistently helps project teams and stakeholders navigate complex civil engineering issues with clarity, efficiency, and confidence. His work emphasizes detailed site evaluation, thoughtful project planning, and the delivery of high‑quality engineering solutions.
Brian has spent more than a decade in Central Ohio with Civil & Environmental Consultants, where he served as a Principal and Civil Practice Lead. In that role, he helped expand the practice and drive revenue growth across the private, public, and energy sectors.
Brian has now joined Addison Properties, where he will leverage his deep knowledge of the region, its stakeholders, and local regulatory frameworks to evaluate early‑stage plans for go/no‑go decisions. He will also oversee consultants throughout the due‑diligence and final design phases, ensuring project and budget optimization from inception through completion.
Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Akron. His professional credentials include Professional Engineer (PE), Survey Intern (SI), Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control (CPESC), Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality (CPSWQ), and LEED AP Neighborhood Development (LEED APND) through the U.S. Green Building Council. Brian resides in Powell, Ohio with his wife and their two children.
